Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled SMT Process Engineer with experience in the automotive industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process in our automotive production.

What do we expect you to do?

  • Develop and implement SMT process parameters for all equipment
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in process to optimize quality, yield, and throughput
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the highest quality of products are produced within set timeframes
  • Monitor machine programming and maintenance requirements
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding capacity, process capability, and efficiency
  • Train and mentor production team on equipment operation
  • Identify and troubleshoot process defects and implement corrective actions
  • Enforce safety, quality, and health standards and regulations throughout production
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technology advancements and recommend solutions for implementation
Requirements

What do we expect you to have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • at least 1 year of experience in SMT process engineering or similar role in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and process principles, such as stencil printing, pick-and-place, reflow, inspection, and AOI
  • Proficiency in using SPC tools and statistical analysis to support the manufacturing process
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while managing multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
