Job description

Develop high-performance Java applications for a global electronic trading platform
Work with Java, Linux, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, Aeron, Protocol Buffers, Chronicle, and high-performance JVM technologies
Design scalable, low-latency, and highly available distributed systems
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, automated testing, and DevOps activities
Optimize application performance and participate in the development of next-generation trading technology
Work closely with international engineering teams across Prague, London, and New York

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with Core Java
Experience developing high-performance, distributed applications
Good knowledge of Linux, including basic scripting
Experience with Maven or Gradle and CI/CD pipelines
Strong software design, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience with test automation and clean code principles
Fluent English

Nice to Have

Experience with electronic trading or financial systems
Knowledge of market data platforms (Refinitiv, Exegy)
Experience with Aeron, Agrona, Chronicle, Protocol Buffers, Google Guice
Knowledge of C++, DevOps, or containerization technologies
Interest in low-latency architecture and performance optimization
