Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Controller for our client based in Prague. Our client is an established worldwide and well- known company with an amazing team that lives by their core values. The company also offers an amazing career development plan.

In this role you will be a member of the company’s finance team, responsible for financial reporting and acting as the key contact for the General Manager of the main business divisions in Italy.

Your main activities will include the following:

- Financial planning, forecasting and budgeting, including data management
- Performance analyses using variance analytics for the development of budgets and strategic plans
- Synthesize and interpret data from various sources into a comprehensible overview of current trends
- Comprehensive reporting of actuals
- Monitor and document discrepancies and inform relevant manager
- Cooperate with the accounting department to ensure accordance with procedures
- Prepare reports, charts, tables and other models as needed
- Establish and develop financial models that will ensure uniformity, quality and accuracy of financial processes
- Business partnering with General Manager and other relevant parties to meet targets
- Suggest improvements to financial planning & analysis reports and relevant tools
- Participate in regular meetings with internal stakeholders to discern data needs
- Support European Sales Operation Controller in special projects for the design, creation and implementation of financial templates
- Facilitate integration of new business processes, people and tools needed to enhance future decision making

Requirements

- Fluent English (C1) and Italian (C1)
- Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (knowledge of financial analysis processes and relevant tools, as well as an understanding of accounting principles and general ledger systems)
- At least 4 or more years of experience in Business Controlling and Partnering
- Past exposure to HFM/Hyperion Planning or similar reporting system as well as advanced user abilities within Excel and rest of MS Office
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate in an eloquent manner
- Independent, solution-driven and initiative
- Trustworthy whilst handling sensitive information
- Resilient to stressful situations and able to meet strict deadlines
- Experience in the pharma industry is a plus (not a must)
- Must be available for a personal interview in Prague
