Job description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join projects in the energy sector and help leverage data for more efficient operations, higher equipment reliability, and better strategic decision-making. Your domain will include data from energy generation, transmission, and distribution, including renewable sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Collection, processing, and integration of data from energy systems (SCADA, DCS, IoT, smart meters, ERP, CMMS)
  • Trend analysis, load prediction, and predictive maintenance modeling
  • Designing data solutions to increase energy efficiency and reduce costs
  • Creating dashboards and reporting key KPIs (performance, efficiency, outages, emissions)
  • Monitoring the condition and reliability of equipment (turbines, generators, transformers)
  • Supporting root cause analysis of outages and abnormal states
  • Ensuring data quality for regulatory and ESG reporting
  • Presenting outputs to technical teams and management
Requirements
  • University degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics in the energy or industrial environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with SCADA/DCS environments and energy communication protocols (OPC-UA, IEC 61850)
  • Good knowledge of statistics and forecasting (time series, regression analysis)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • Fluency in Czech and English

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree with a focus on energy analytics or industrial engineering
  • Experience with data from renewable sources (photovoltaics, wind power) and grid analysis
  • Understanding of energy markets and regulatory environment
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure IoT, AWS Energy Data Services)
